Dimapur, Nagaland, N.E. India 5-7 February 2018

The Deborah Project in Dimapur was organised jointly with Rev. G. Khing, Director of Asia Soul Winners missions school. The teachings were helmed by Dahlia, Helen and May with an excellent interpreter and an ardent worship leader. DP Dimapur had 57 participants inclusive of helpers and, perhaps for the first time, husbands who accompanied their wives on the long and arduous journeys some had taken to reach Dimapur. May, one of the trainers, was so touched by 4 ladies who travelled 14 hours by bus, ferry, train and taxi to come for the meetings. It being winter now, at night the temperature was around 10 degrees celcius. Whether they journeyed from near or far, they shared the same intense zeal and thirst for God. The team covered teachings on Identity, Intimacy and Inheritance. Dahlia kicked off the sessions with finding our significance and security in our Identity as God’s children and deepening that relationship in the Secret Place where each of us develop a growing and living relationship with Abba God. Helen facilitated sessions on Intimacy by leading participants into Heaven through meditation. May taught that community and loving relationships among believers are essential in living the Christian life well. Having the courage to bare our souls even in weakness among peers is crucial for spiritual well-being. Teachings on the Baptism of the Holy Spirit were well-received by those from non-Charismatic churches. Some were baptized in the Spirit. A participant shared how she felt led to pray on her own after lunch. In her secret place, she suddenly found herself speaking in tongues and given a burden to help the women in her tribe!

Dahlia and Helen also taught on the gifts of the Holy Spirit. This topic, somewhat controversial among many of the non-Charismatic participants, had a lively Q and A after the teaching. Our inheritance involves having the Father’s power and we are convinced that many will come into greater understanding of the power and authority that our Heavenly Father has given us. This report would be inaccurate without telling you how God drew near to us all in worship. Many wept unashamedly and felt God’s tangible presence. God was drawing us into His arms of love and surrounded us with His angelic hosts. Deborah Project Dimapur ended with participants praying for the different states that were represented—Nagaland, Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh. May God visit this land with signs and wonders as He did hundreds of years ago.

Dahlia, was invited to be one of three speakers ( the other two were men) at a Women’s Conference in Ziro, Arunachal Pradesh, N.E. India in 2009. There she met Nung, a member of the organizing committee. She kept in touch with her over the years, sensing she is a key woman leader in Arunachal Pradesh. She invited her to this Deborah Project and she brought 3 other leaders with her.

She planted a church among college students and after years of rejection is finally recognized and accepted by the Body as a pastor due to the fruits witnessed by her community. She inspired all at this seminar with her testimony.
